The idea of this project was to have the tennis balls be cut a little more along the white line from an origin point. The tennis balls would then be opened a little more each time giving a larger opening allowing the tennis balls to intersect and create a free standing object.
Unfortunately these tennis balls, made of rubber, held their original shape not allowing them to stay open. To change this around, a mechanical expander of some sorts could be applied to ensure the TBs (tennis balls) would remain open.
This is a great idea, if the balls had seperated as you intended I think this could have been a really good design. Your attention to control and placement is very good and well thoughout. Good project.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been pretty fascinating if you could have gotten the balls to hold their shape. An added force/support could have been added to the interior to hold the shape. Overall its an interesting project.
